Convert your Adobe SWF video files to the MPEG video format using the paid version of AnyVideoCovnerter.

Introduction

Adobe Flash SWF video files are Web-friendly video files that can be played on any Web browser that has the Adobe Flash plug-in installed. While Flash SWF files are Web friendly, SWF files cannot be played in traditional media players, such as Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, QuickTime and most other media players. You can use the paid version of the AnyVideoConverter program to convert your SWF file to the more media player-friendly MPEG video format. The time it will take to convert your Flash SWF file to an MPEG file depends on the size of the file.

Step 1

Download and install the software for AnyVideoConverter on your computer.

Step 2

Click "Start," "All Programs," "AnvSoft" and then "Any Video Converter" to open the program.

Step 3

Click the drop-down arrow beneath "Output Profile" in the upper-right corner of the Any Video Converter program window. Click "MPEG-1 Movie" beneath "Common Video Formats."

Step 4

Click "Frame Size" beneath "Video Options" in the lower-right corner of the Any Video Converter program window. Click the drop-down arrow that appears on the far-right side of the box. Select the frame size you want the MPEG file to be.

Step 5

Navigate to the location on your computer where the Flash SWF file you want to convert to an MPEG file is located.

Step 6

Click "Add Video" in the upper-left corner of the AnyVideoConverter program window to open the "Open" dialog box.

Step 7

Navigate to the location on your computer where the Flash SWF file is located, click to select the file and then click "Open." The file is added to the list of videos to convert in AnyVideoConverter.

Step 8

Click "Convert." The file begins converting. A bar displaying the status of the conversion appears beneath "Status."

Step 9

Click "Open Output Folder" in the dialog box that appears after the conversion is complete. The folder containing the MPEG file you created opens.

Step 10

Double-click the file to view it in the default program for viewing MPEG files on your computer.

Conclusion

You can also use AnyVideoConverter to convert your video to a variety of other video formats, including SWF, AVI, WMV and MP4. Be careful to use the paid version of AnyVideoConverter; you can still convert your file using the free version, but it will leave a watermark on your video.
